Great atmosphere and even better food. I had the chicken florentine excellently grilled with a great sauce and sautéed spinach topped with mozzarella cheese. Side of spaghetti with a classic red sauce straight from an Italian grandma's recipe.

Extremely good food. Very friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. I've had the chicken Alfredo and the fettuccine Alfredo and both were very good.

Fantastic!! My fiancé and I just moved to UC from Nashville and to say the least, we are very disappointed with the restaurant choices around here...which is slim to none. So we see this while looking for Oya House and decide to give it a shot!! OMG we are so glad we did! We both ordered a Ceasar salad and it was so big and so delicious I ate every bite! We also go the bruschetta which was also wonderful. And then we both ordered the special: Lobster Ravioli! I was hesitant because I was almost positive it was going to be something frozen and prepared....but it wasn't!! The pasta was very fresh and it was actual real lobster meat!! It was absolutely wonderful and we are so happy to have found this place!! I'm posting a picture of the Lobster Ravioli.

We've been here twice and both times the food was quite delicious. The bread and salad are tasty and it's a real salad with other vegetables besides just lettuce, don't know why but this part of the state hasn't figured out that salad is more than torn iceberg. Our server, Tamika, was super nice and informed us of all the great specials, we decided to try the fried green tomatoes. The tomatoes were really good but the Chipotle sauce was odd, not what I would expect from an Italian place, a simple balsamic vinaigrette would have been better. So far we've had the eggplant parmigiano and baked manicotti, both were wonderful. My only issue was the dining room. We were in the small room off to the side and it was cramped and the lighting was really bright. When a couple comes to an Italian restaurant on a Friday night, the host should assume date night. One of the dimly lot booths would have been more romantic, next time we'll ask for one of those. Overall, great service and tasty food, we'll go back.

Food is very good, nice size portions. I had the Rib Eye Steak, it came with the salad dressed with house Italian and bread. You get to choose a side and I got a baked potato. Everything was great from the flavor of the food to grilled to perfection, steak. Some wait staff are very attentive while others are not.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
